DSV Adams Challenge Contract Won
(2/9/2008) MES have been awarded a contract working with Astilleros Balenciaga to supply and fit the integrated bridge equipment onboard Adams Offshore newest vessel the DSV Adams Challenge. The vessel will be a dynamically positioned diesel electric powered multi role offshore support vessel with a dual redundant dynamic positioning system configured to and suitable for supporting a wide range of offshore support activities.

The FE-700 is a breakthrough over the conventional paper sounders; there are no consumable items. The purpose of the echosounder is to provide safe navigation by detecting the clearance below the ship (particularly in shallow waters) as required on the SOLAS convention ships by the new IMO standards.

ELAC Echo Sounder Type LAZ5100

LAZ 5100 is a high quality paperless Navigation Sounder from ELAC. We have used this sounder when we wanted guaranteed deep water perfomance (2000m).

The LAZ 5100 is the successor to the actual market leader LAZ 5000 and represents the new standard for navigation purposes from shallow to deep water.

It can be operated as single or dual frequency unit including retrofit with transducers of other manufacturers.

The LAZ 5100 offers 6 basic ranges from 10 to 2000m. 24-hrs-memory, interfaces for output of depth data and input of position data, printer interface.
