DSV Adams Challenge Contract Won
(2/9/2008) MES have been awarded a contract working with Astilleros Balenciaga to supply and fit the integrated bridge equipment onboard Adams Offshore newest vessel the DSV Adams Challenge. The vessel will be a dynamically positioned diesel electric powered multi role offshore support vessel with a dual redundant dynamic positioning system configured to and suitable for supporting a wide range of offshore support activities.

Phontech Command Intercom System (Talkback)
The Phontech Talkback system offers a reliable means of communication between the bridge and key locations on the vessel (mooring stations, engine room etc). A broad range of substations is offered to suit. Master stations from 5 to 20 lines are available.

1 3130 Master station 15 line + 4 remotes (wheelhouse nav)
15 line flush mount master station, option for 4 remote master positions (3132) with touch key panel, switches, single group call facillity, LED indicators, loudspeaker, microphone, and volume control. Full access from any 3130 remote master station with 3130 priority. All 3132 remote master calls are audible via 3130 master unit. Built in connections for the bridge wing extensions, gooseneck microphone and PA connection.

1 Indoor sub station with internal loudspeaker/microphone. Call and talk button + back box.
External Locations: Fore deck, aft deck
2 Standard weatherproof sub station with call button for connection of external horn speaker.
2 Watertight horn speaker 10 Watt, 8 or 20 Ohms impedance
Noisy Locations: (Azimuth propulsion room)
1 Multi function weatherproof sub station with call button, socket for external 4-pin microphone or headset. Hornspeaker connection. On/Off loudspeaker switch and built in call relay for connection of additional signalling device if required. (Relay capacity 2 Amps). IP65 rated. Back box included.
1 Industrial headset designed for maximum noise attenuation and optimal communication quality. Fitted with boom microphone and 10 metre cable and plug to fit 9016 sub station.
1 14010 Combined sound and flashlight
Audio and visual alarm with 3 field programmable tones including bell. High intensity (5 joules) stroboscopic flashlight, 60 flashes per minute. Available with red, amber, yellow, blue, green, whiteor clear lens. IP55 rated
Engine room/Control station
1 Telephone sub station for console mounting. Call indicator lamp, call button to master station. Handset incorporates PTT button and noise cancelling microphone. Optional additional signalling device if required.
