Thrane & Thrane Fleet Broadband 77
The basic Capsat® Fleet77 package consists of a transceiver and an antenna together with a handset and cradle.
The terminal is an integrated communication center providing links to phones, fax machines, and even shipboard computer networks.
Simple Installation
With its lightweight and compact transceiver and antenna, the Capsat® Fleet77 terminal is quick and easy to install.
The tracking antenna is 85 cm high, has a diameter of just 84 cm and weighs a mere 25 kg/55 lbs.
The antenna is line-replaceable, features a bottom flap for easy maintenance access, and can be located up to 70 metres from the transceiver.
Rapid Configuration
The Capsat® Fleet77 transceiver provides a constant two-way link to Inmarsat satellites offering Inmarsat Fleet MPDS communication.
User-friendly software on the accompanying CD-ROM enables simple configuration from a standard PC.
Shipboard Communication Hub
The Capsat® Fleet77 transceiver and antenna provide the hub for online communication all the time via desktop phones, payphones, DECT phones, and fax machines. Together with an IP router, the Capsat® Fleet77 terminal can integrate the vessel 24 hours a day with onshore management systems via the Web, including full e-mail and Internet services from all shipboard PC workstations.
Thrane & Thrane Fleet Broadband 55
High-speed data on Inmarsat spot beams
With an antenna even smaller and lighter than the very successful, compact Capsat® Fleet77 this latest maritime high-speed satellite communication terminal from Thrane & Thrane provides the same services as its bigger relative but on the Inmarsat spot beams: ISDN (for telephone, Group 4-fax and data) and packet-switched data service (MPDS). Satellite telephone (based on the Inmarsat Mini-M service) are provided by the Inmarsat global beams.
The small form factor of the radome antenna makes Capsat® Fleet55 particularly well suited for smaller vessels like yachts, patrol boats and fishing vessels.
The new terminal will be serviced and supported by Thrane & Thrane’s dedicated network of Capsat® Fleet77 distributors and service centres. This service network has already proven its high standard in serving Thrane & Thrane Fleet customers.
The basic system
The basic Capsat® Fleet55 package consists of a transceiver and an antenna together with a handset and cradle.
The terminal is an integrated communication center providing links to phones, fax machines, and even shipboard computer networks.
Simple Installation
With its lightweight and compact transceiver and antenna, the Capsat® Fleet55 terminal is quick and easy to install.
The tracking antenna is 68 cm high, has a diameter of just 57 cm and weighs a mere 18 kg/40 lbs.
The antenna is line-replaceable and can be located up to 70 metres from the transceiver.
Rapid Configuration
Every system is supplied with a CD-ROM containing Thrane & Thrane’s FleetCP configuration program. With this user-friendly software you could easily configure the system from a standard PC. Alternatively, the set-up could also be done through the standard handset.
Shipboard Communication Hub
The Capsat® Fleet55 terminal could act as a hub for communication via desktop phones, payphones, DECT cordless phones, and fax machines. Plus a whole array of commercially available ISDN applications could provide unprecedented quality and speed of voice, fax and/or data communications.
Together with an IP router, the Capsat® Fleet55 terminal could integrate the vessel 24 hours a day with onshore management systems via the Web, including full e-mail and Internet services from all shipboard PC workstations.
Thrane & Thrane Fleet Broadband 33
Small and cost-effective maritime data terminal perfectly suited for small to medium sized vessels
With Capsat® Fleet33 Thrane & Thrane introduces the smallest and lightest maritime MPDS-enabled satellite terminal to date featuring an antenna height of only 35 cm, a weight of 4.5 kg, and a transceiver weight of less than 2 kg.
The small form factor of the antenna and the low weight of the Capsat® Fleet33 mean that, satellite communication is now available to a much wider range of ships and especially small to medium vessels like yachts, patrol boats and fishing vessels.
The basic system
The basic Capsat® Fleet33 package consists of a transceiver and an antenna together with a handset and cradle.
The system provides a constant two-way link to the Inmarsat satellites offering all Fleet33 services using the Inmarsat spot beams for fax and data (spot beams are concentrated on the major land masses and all popular maritime regions - excluding the poles). For the mini-M voice service global coverage is offered, using the Inmarsat global beam.
The Capsat® Fleet33 terminal enables the vessel to be connected to voice, fax, email and Internet 24 hours a day. Connected to an Ethernet IP Router several PC\'s can share an internet connection via the MPDS Service.
Furuno Felcom 70 Fleet 77 Terminal
Quality communications from ship on any ocean to other ships and land offices
- Inexpensive communication charges
- High speed data, fax, telephone, e-mailing
- Compatible with GMDSS
- Antenna structure highly durable to vibration, shock, weather changes
- User friendly operation with a palm fitting handset with a large LCD
- Distress alert unit for instant distress call in case of casualty
EMC tested to 2 GHz - no interference between the FELCOM 70 and GPS navigator that work in the same frequency band
The FELCOM 70 is a new Furuno inmarsat satellite communications system designed for FLEET F77 MOBILE EARTH STATION. The FELCOM 70 offers quality communications for a variety of commercial vessels and luxury yachts. It provides 64 kbps high speed data communications by ISDN or MPDS (Mobile Packet Data Service) as well as quality voice communications at 64/4.8 kbps.
The FELCOM 70 has a high-speed modem and allowsfast data communication at 64 kbps. The voice communications is selectable from 64 and 4.8 kbps.
Data communications are available on two channels: high speed ISDN same as INMARSAT B and 64 kbps MPDS. The ISDN channel provides seamless connection to the standard ISDN terminal such as terminal adapters and ISDN routers. MPDS works on the shared channels. The user only pays for the amount of data sent over the network, while charges for the ISDN data communications depend on the time connected. Thus MPDS is suitable for small and medium volume e-mailing and Internet. Transmission channels may be selected depending on volume of data.
